Consignor Information – Sell Your Dress!
Have a dress to consign? We want it!
Items We Will Accept:
- Bridal Gowns
- Prom Dresses
- Bridesmaid Dresses ~ groupings sell well – contact your bridesmaids and have them all consign!
Consignment Guidelines
- New with tags
- New without tags
- Used once or twice – no flaws
- Sample gowns/dresses
- Items with excessive signs of wear will not be accepted
- Current style items sell best. Wedding dresses should not be more than 10 years old and prom gowns no more than 5 years old. All items must be in excellent condition.
- Modest gowns are in especially high demand. If you have a jacket or shawl type item that goes with your dress to make it modest, include it and sell the items as a 2 piece set.
Items We Do Not Accept:
- Old or outdated dresses or items.
- Dresses or items with damage, stains, rips, tears, discoloration, missing buttons, or any other flaw.
- Soiled/Dirty dresses/items – Dresses must be cleaned before dropping them off.
- Lingerie
- Men’s Clothing or Men’s Formal Wear
- Children’s Clothing
- Items with excessive signs of wear will not be accepted
Consignor Registration:
How much does it cost to sell a gown?
Since this is a consignment sale there are no upfront costs, you only pay if your gown sells! If you sell a single dress you keep 70% of the selling price. If you have 2-5 gowns that sell at the event you keep 80% and if you sell more than 5 dresses you keep 85% of the selling price.
Step 1: Register as a Consignor (Registration has begun)
Register Online (Click the button below to register) – once your registration is complete, we will email you a confirmation including a consignor number and item number for each item you consign. You should bring this information with you when you drop off your gown. We will print tags that we will attach to your items when they are dropped off.

Step 2: Prepare your gown(s).
Make sure your gown is clean and in good repair, make any small repairs if necessary. Each gown must be on a sturdy hanger, in a separate clear plastic, zippered bag. If you do not have this type of bag you may purchase one for $5.00 when you drop off your items. No gowns will be accepted without a bag.
Step 3: Drop off Consignment Items
You can choose to drop off your gown at either or our Bountiful or our American Fork locations.
Drop Off Schedule:
The drop off period will begin February 18th and end February 24th, 2012.
Drop off locations and times will be listed here by February 1st, 2012
Step 4: Receive payment from Dash For The dress for sold items or pick up unsold items
Receive a check no later than two weeks after the Dash For The Dress event.
Or pick up unsold items
All unsold item must be picked up no later than one week following the event. (March 3rd, 2012)
- Items may be picked up after the sale at the venue or at your drop off location beginning February 27th
- Unsold items that are left after March 3rd, 2012 will be donated to charity.
